Dammion Adkins, 33, was arrested on Wednesday and booked on suspicion of felony battery with serious bodily injury, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Adkins was being held without bail, police said.

“Authorities are still investigating a brawl/assault incident that happened 1700 block of N Las Palmas Ave. around 2:15 a.m. Yesterday. However, it has come to our attention that the victim of the assault has been spreading a lot of misinformation or leaving out details in news interviews on what happened. The news coverage of this incident has been extremely irresponsible, misleading, and inaccurate giving viewers the false impression the victim kicked was harassed or randomly attacked in the parking garage for no reason. That narrative is not accurate this was NOT a random or unprovoked attack. Here are the facts. Prior to the assault/video of the women who had gotten together for a birthday party and had gotten kicked out of the club for starting drunken arguments and being rude to staff. When they got into the parking garage then they started having brawls amongst each other and also had arguments with others prior to the assault. When Three men who were leaving the club entered the garage one of the women ram ran into his face and started a drunken argument with two of the men in Spanish snd closed they owed her drugs after laying them money into club earlier. The three men said they had no idea what she was talking about and told her to back off, the other women then joined in and at some point they started hitting, slapping, and spitting at two of the men in the group. Both parties then got into a mutual combat brawl. At some point doing the brawl the victim who we will only refer to as “Cynthia” jumped on the suspect's back and hit him in the head. He then shoved her down and kicked her repeatedly.
It has not yet been determined by detectives what the dispute was about. When detectives arrived on the scene they determined the argument stemmed from a Drug/prostitution-related argument. However, the women all staunchly denied that. But when detectives tried to get details from them on what the argument was about they all suspiciously claimed they didn’t remember what the argument was about or what words were exchanged. The victim has continued to make the same talking points on news interviews and is still claiming she doesn't know why the brawl happened. The suspects are described as a White Male in a purple shirt and grey pants in his late 20s, a Latino Male in a black shirt in his 20s, and a dark-Skinned Latino Male his mid to late 20s wearing a white shirt and light-colored pants. LAPD they will not be releasing any images or identities of suspects publicly since both parties were determined as being at fault for the altercation. Everyone involved is only facing disordlery conduct charges at this time and the D.A. will make a decision on if criminal charges are warranted once the investigarion is complete. The preliminary evidence, surveillance, witness reports all confirmed that the women were the initial aggressors who started this entire confrontation and attacked the men prior to the video.Anyone with additional information should contact authorities at 1-877-527-3247.”
