It was an easy query and it elicited an easy answer.
“What’s Malik going to do today?,’’ Giants coach Brian Daboll was asked Thursday before practice.
“Practice,’’ Daboll said.

Identical to that, rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers was back on the sector, a welcome sight for a Giants’ offense that is certain to depend on him early and sometimes this season.
And, get this: There’s a likelihood Nabers plays Saturday afternoon in Houston against the Texans in preseason game No. 2 for the Giants.
“We’ll undergo practice and figure it out like we normally do,’’ Daboll said. “But I’d say there’s definitely a likelihood.’’
Nabers hurt his left ankle while running last Sunday and sat out the following two training camp practices.
He said Tuesday he has “little doubt’’ he will likely be able to make his NFL debut Sept. 8 within the regular-season opener against the Vikings.
Nabers was diagnosed with a low-ankle sprain and his return to the sector 4 days later is a superb sign for his availability as early as this weekend.
There was one other positive injury development for the Giants, as rookie running back Tyrone Tracy participated in individual drills Thursday.
That is kind of remarkable, considering this past Tuesday he went down with what appeared to be a serious lower leg injury, carted off the sector, with an air forged applied after his right leg buckled after he muffed a kickoff.

Because it turned out, Tracy suffered a low ankle sprain and is taken into account week-to-week, although he looked high-quality running two days after the incident.
