Bad injury luck continues to invade the Magic’s 2024-25 season.
Add Jalen Suggs to the list.
Suggs suffered what a non-contact injury — that the team later called back spasms — in Friday’s 106-97 win over the Raptors, requiring him to depart in a wheelchair with over three minutes left within the second quarter.
Suggs, an all-world perimeter defender, was attempting to play the passing lanes and record a steal but went down, favoring his lower backside.
The Magic were already without Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner (oblique injuries), while Mo Wagner was lost for the season in December after he tore an ACL.

Suggs, now in his fourth yr, has made one other leap for the Magic after inking a five-year, $150 million extension in October.
Suggs got here into Friday averaging a career-best 16.8 points per game.
He finished with six points in 13 minutes before the injury.
