A man who attempted to assault New York gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin with a sharp key chain has been released without bail. The man was wrestled to the ground at a campaign event and Zeldin was not hurt.

This was either staged, or the guy didn't have very strong intentions. As soon as Zeldin touched the arm holding the thing, the guy pulled back. Zeldin never dropped his mic. If it wasn't staged, the only thing that legally happened was attempted assault. Not that big a deal.
