The betting market normally points you in the correct direction for the NFL draft.
Although odds swing wildly within the weeks leading as much as the event, by the point we get to draft day the dust has normally settled enough that we’ve a transparent picture of how the primary handful of picks will shake out.
But there are at all times a few outliers, and the Latest York Jets, who hold the No. 7 pick Thursday, appear to be considered one of the few teams in the highest 10 that the market is having trouble reading.
With the draft roughly seven hours away, Tyler Warren, a decent end out of Penn State, is now the betting favorite to go No. 7.
It isn’t rare that oddsmakers and punters get less confident with each passing pick, but it surely is slightly surprising to see the percentages movement across the seventh pick, considering where things stood just just a few days ago.
On Tuesday, the Jets were -110 at BetMGM Sportsbook to land Armand Membou, an offensive tackle out of Missouri, with their first selection within the draft.

Gang Green was also -150 to take an offensive lineman with their initial pick.Â
Christian Cippollini, the senior trading manager at BetMGM, told the Post earlier within the week that his team had a great read on where the Jets were going by the motion that was coming in on the pick.
But things appear to be shifting now, and it’s got as much to do with what’s happening ahead of the Jets than what they’ll be pondering.
A number of days ago, it seemed likely that the Jacksonville Jaguars were going to pick out EDGE Mason Graham with the fifth pick, leaving Ashton Jeanty to be chosen by the Las Vegas Raiders at No. 6.Â
No. 7 overall pick odds
| Player | Odds |
|---|---|
| Tyler Warren | +185 |
| Armand Membou | +225 |
| Mason Graham | +425 |
| Kelvin Banks Jr. | +700 |
| Jahdae Barron | +900 |
Now, the overwhelming favorite to go No. 5 overall is Jeanty (perhaps to the Bears via trade with the Jaguars), meaning the Raiders would want to pivot, almost certainly to an offensive lineman.
That has caused loads of mock drafters to regulate their projections, which has, in turn, caused the percentages related to the Jets’ pick to shift.
Warren now has +185 odds to land with the Jets, barely ahead of Membou at +225.
Mason Graham has the third-shortest odds at +425.
