Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson was sworn in as an associate justice of the Supreme Court in a ceremony Thursday after Justice Stephen Breyer officially retired. She is the first Black woman to serve on the high court.

The first public defender to have ever served on the Supreme Court! That point of view and the unique kinds of experiences she's had have got to have an effect! For the first time, someone on that court has experience defending poor people.

Hearing this swearing in just reminds me of how much of these sacred oaths these conservative judges have broken and disregarded and how much of the constitution they have spit on and sullied. The constitution is all about the freedom of the people, no matter how rich or poor they are. God help us

She either lied about being able to define what a woman is, in which case according to most on this site, should be immediately impeached, or she's not intelligent enough to know what a woman is. Either way she is NOT qualified for the job.

I thought hiring someone based on nothing but their gender or the color of their skin was illegal? Affirmative action is poison.
Let me bring in some highlights of this "amazing" woman.
1. Just 57 months for a grown man who raped a 9yo and had 6700 images/videos of brutal child pornography. When the basic was 97-121 months. This person also did recividism
2. Didnt increase the penalty when the government requested to for a 30 y/o pleaded guilty for child pornography which was extremely sicker than normal child pornography, distributed 3-4 dozens of it in tumblr.
3. Just 3 months for an 18 yo who filmed and distributed child pornography of 8,9 and 10 yos. Even when probation office offered for at least 18 months
4. Multiple times this woman has denied for sentence enhancements for prebuscent child pornography offense.
5. She doesn't believe that more number of sexually exploitative and abusive pictures of children should increase more number of years of punishment.

She’s literally a diversity hire. There was no urgent need for her, Breyer was forced out of his job. This is racist and unconstitutional in so many ways.
