Within the words of the fictional “Full House” uncle Jesse Katsopolis, “Have mercy!”

John Stamos, 59, has revealed why he was initially “offended” with twins Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen, 36, about skipping out on the 2016 “Full House” reboot – and the way a conversation with them after Bob Saget’s death helped heal.

From 1987 to 1995, the three of them starred on the hit sitcom, “Full House,” together for eight seasons.

“[Bob Saget] was very instrumental in keeping us all together,” Stamos began during an appearance this week on “Glee” stars Kevin McHale and Jenna Ushkowitz’s podcast, “And That’s What You REALLY Missed.”

“The twins moved to Recent York… And I gotta let you know, considered one of the one good thing to return out of Bob’s, well … Mary-Kate and Ashley, we didn’t really see them much,” he explained, talking in regards to the star’s 2022 death.

“I mean, we stayed in contact a bit bit but Bob really did. They usually were so great… You hear rumors, ‘Oh, they hated their childhood or they hated being on the show or whatever.’”

The twins played the role of Michelle Tanner, the daughter of Danny Tanner (Bob Saget), while Stamos played their uncle, Jesse Katsopolis, telling the story of a modern-day family who got here together after the death of Tanner’s fictional wife.

“After I did Fuller House they didn’t wanna come back,” Stamos continued. “And I used to be offended for a minute. And that got out.”

“But they simply were, ‘We loved our childhood. We loved being with you. We miss Bob.’ They got here over to my house. They brought a pork chop and sage. I don’t know why, but thanks? It was a frozen pork chop, in order that was very nice. So we stayed very close.”

The Post reached out to reps for Stamos and the Olsen twins for comment.

In 2015, it was announced that a reboot of the unique show can be coming to Netflix, called “Fuller House.”

As Stamos said, the Olsen twins, who’ve since largely retreated from public life, declined the chance to reprise their original roles.

They starred on the show when from after they were infants to eight years old.

As an alternative, the showed featured appearances from Stamos and Saget, in addition to Dave Coulier, who played Joey Gladstone, Lori Loughlin as Becky Katsopolis, Jodie Sweetin as Stephanie Tanner, and Scott Weinger, who played Steve Hale.

The reboot lasted five seasons, ending in 2020.

In 2021, Stamos had admitted that he was initially “disillusioned” that the Olsen twins didn’t make a cameo on the reboot during an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” with Andy Cohen, but understood their decision.

Last month, Stamos admitted on a separate podcast appearance that he wanted the twins fired in the beginning.

But though he was disillusioned, there was a cut-off date where he actually wanted the 2 fired from the sitcom back within the day.

He alleged that he “couldn’t deal” with the twins’ constant crying during an April podcast appearance.

Stamos explained that the incident took place in the course of the first-ever episode of the show, when he and Coulier’s character took care of the Olsen’s character while their father was away.

“They were 11 months old, and God bless them,” Stamos said during an April appearance on Josh Peck and Ben Soffer’s “Good Guys” podcast. “They kept switching: ‘This one’s not gonna cry.’ I couldn’t take care of it,” recalled Stamos. “And I said, ‘This isn’t gonna work.’ In order that they removed them.”

Within the episode, the twins were replaced by a pair of baby redhead actors – and were brought back a number of days later.
