I believe he came to Trenton Air Show in Canada and, I seen him run there when I was a child. This is sad such a great truck and spectacular site to see R.I.P Chris Darnell.
Misbalance was the cause of out in control when the truck's parachute was discharge and burnt out when he passes through to the unexpected explosion, maybe driver might be still alive because of his safety suit and secured inside the truck, the problem is the rescue arrived about 1:30 minutes after the accident maybe he died caused by burned or suffocate
The only thing worse than the accident is the INSANELY clueless reporters covering it. eeeeesh!

You're kind of taking your chances when driving a truck propelled by a jet engine ignited with jet fuel.
Yep, fatal accident that this Jet truck driver could not avoid. Look at the video in very slow motion and you can see the left back tire exploding. Maybe a piece of rubber flew at high speed, into the left parachute canister and causing the sudden deployment.
The driver was allready losing control of the truck, before he was passing the pyrotechnik explosion on the footage. Something went horrobly wrong.
That fireball had nothing at all to do with the crash. Get it right.

Two men killed now doing this ,going that fast In a truck seems to be unsafe awful fast for a truck and unstable or the truck breaks leading to total destruction of truck from going so fast, your playing the odds and the house all ways wins. Living on the edge ,kind of like wind suit flying odds are you will slam Into mountain at some point, or climbing Everest and die from swelling of the brain or freezing to death. I wish he was not killed, and sorry for the family ………..

I was at one of the shows down here in louisiana, i had a conversation with him, this is sad and a very tragic event. Prayers to his family and close friends. 🛐🙏
Attaching jet engines to motor vehicles may not be the wisest way to have fun.
The “fireball” was evident before the truck “passed over” the fireball! The pryotecnics were in in the sod area between the taxiway and runway had nothing to do with the accident. The truck was nowhere near it! Nobody knows what happened to cause the accident. The investigators will let us know when they confirm with their findings! Tragic is was for sure and condolences to the family of Chris and RIP Chris! You were always a favorite.

I watch multiple videos from the crowd and from what I gathered, the truck had a leak and caught on fire right before he when past the pyrotechnics

What a tragedy and I wonder if the jet upset the air on the truck, as I have watched the jet powered truck at least 20 years in a row, and not once have I witnessed a Blue Angel or Thunderbird jet above the truck. You just can't have this much power contained in such close proximity. You have hundreds of thousands pounds of thrust (energy) with airflow in a relatively small area, and hopefully this was done in a wind tunnel before actually doing it, but presently physics means little to grieving family members. I can tell you at the track I attend, the truck is no more than 250 feet from audience. May my God give this great family comfort.
There appears to be what looks like a tiny piece of tire tread flying off? And if you listen close you hear what sounds like a tire bursting a little ways before that happens??? Then like a second after that burst of flames erupting. I could be wrong, but sounds more like a burst tire that caused it???

SOMETHING EXPLODED ON THE TRACK BEFORE HE EVEN GOT TO THE AREA OF THE TRACK WHERE THE FLAMES WERE SO SOMETHING "NOT THE TRUCK NOR ENGINE NOR TIRES" CAUSED HIM TO CRASH

They are blaming a blown tire, but that truck has all its tires intact at 0:58 and it also has a fireball that should not be there.
