Just normal partisan politics in a country that is not actually democratic. This is the system. The Congress and SCt play the same games.

Yes. It's normal. It's America. American politics has always been absurdly stupid. Always. Every country in the world has tilted their head at the USA for all of it's existence for why it does things the way it does things.

  31. Bohdan Harasymiw says:

The Rebuplicas will rue their decision. Once goodwill is gone from politics the country is in line for fracture, then a dictatorship to hold it together

As reported by Palle Yourgrau in his book "A World Without Time" about Gödel and Einstein, the naturalization ceremony for Gödel in front of the judge:

„Philip Forman, who only a few years earlier had ushered Einstein himself into the land of liberty, asked Gödel casually, “Do you think a dictatorship like that in Germany could ever arise in the United States?” he received a spirited reply in the affirmative. Gödel launched into an account of how the United States Constitution formally permitted just such a regime to arise. Shrewdly, however, the judge cut off the great logician before he could hit full stride, and the ceremony came to a peaceful conclusion, leaving Gödel’s new homeland to fend for itself against the opening he had discerned in its founding principles. Years later, asked for a legal analogy for his incompleteness theorem, he would comment that a country that depended entirely upon the formal letter of its laws might well find itself defenseless against a crisis that had not, and could not, have been foreseen in its legal code. The analogue of his incompleteness theorem, applied to the law, would guarantee that for any legal code, even if intended to be fully explicit and complete, there would always be judgments “undecided” by the letter of the law.“

Food for thought for any rational American…

Over the moment, an oligarchy has developed in the United States, which is one of the forms of autocracy. Scholars Martin Gilens of Princeton and Benjamin Page of Northwestern University conducted a study that showed that the policies of the United States government are in the interests of the rich and their influence groups, and not the wishes of the majority. The scientists note that “the main conclusion that follows from our study is that economic elites and organized groups representing the interests of business have the ability to significantly influence the policies pursued by the US government, while groups formed to protect the interests of the masses, and ordinary citizens have little to no influence.

The real income of the average American has not risen for several decades, despite the fact that GDP per capita has been growing during this time. The oligarchs benefited from this growth, while the Americans got nothing. In 2011, according to PolitiFact and others, the top 400 richest Americans "have more wealth than half of all Americans combined."

Although the United States is the largest economy in the world, it still does not have free medicine and higher education. More than 20% of American adults have difficulty writing, and some can't even read a newspaper, ABC reported. It would be possible to send money from the budget to solve these issues, but this money goes into the hands of the American oligarchs.

Democracy is the rule of the people. Therefore, there is no democracy (power of the people) in the USA, or do the people of the USA want their incomes not to grow, so that they pay for medicine and higher education and be illiterate!?

    GOP likes it broken.

  41. Norma Forsyth says:

This is disgusting and it's even more reason we should demand the removal of ALL congressmen who have behaved unethically. Then never vote for anyone without a background of ethical conduct, no legal or civil infractions. And especially those who ignore the obvious spirit of the law.
It's obvious that when one's position is over and another is chosen, the first guy leaves. Duh.

  42. Norma Forsyth says:

Also, democrats should do the exact same thing. Fire with fire. I'd have someone pick that man up, physically, and throw him out. The have them put in a locked box.

  44. Jeremy Two says:

Democracy does not work. When Democrats say Democracy, they mean Authoritarian Mob rule. Democracy elected Adolf Hitler. Democracy was invented by Greeks in Athens, Greece in year 503 B.C.

America is only est. 250 years old. 3000 years of homosapien evolution and people still want to be ruled by Tyrants.
The We the People Government was intended voters have American values and American Patriotism.
