A lady is an “adoptive mom” to her eight reborn dolls — and breastfeeds them, makes them breakfast and takes them in all places along with her.
Kelly White, 28, became taken with the realistic dolls after seeing a YouTube video showing off a group.
The cosplay lover had originally wanted to make use of the doll as a prop but began to feel “attached to her.”
Over the past yr Kelly has grown her collection to eight and says she has spent around $2,000 on them.
She used to breastfeed her younger dolls but now bottle feeds them — making “milk” from flour and water.
Kelly, a content creator from Long Island, said: “I’ve been wanting to be a mom since I used to be eight.
“I got attached to her as if she was an adopted child.
“Suddenly I used to be spending clothes for her and a bed.
“They’re comforting.
“I’m living my truth of the life I would like — as if I used to be a mom.”
Kelly got here across the video in October 2023 and acquired her first doll — Jennifer.
She said: “I got really taken with the reborn collection as soon as I got my first toddler doll for my birthday last yr.”
Jennifer stands at 39 inches and has her own bed in Kelly’s room.
Kelly began adding to her collection this yr after she made some money through the TikTok creator fund.
Kelly now has two-year-old dolls — Summer, twins Molly and Antony, Ashley, Elizabeth, Michael, and Adam.
She can be planning to get a latest one — Emily — this month.
Kelly said: “It was cool that they looked like an actual baby.
“It appeals that they give the impression of being realistic.”
Kelly keeps many of the dolls in cribs within the lounge but has baby Adam and Jennifer in her room.
She said: “I even have a routine — I make them breakfast and get all of them dressed.
“I put a movie for them.
“We’re nearly done with a Disney marathon.
“They go in all places with me.
“By 7 p.m. I get all of them ready for bed and I play some songs on an ocarina.”
Kelly has a double stroller and takes it in turn to take the dolls out along with her — to the park or to restaurants.
She desires to adopt her own children but is currently struggling to search out work — stopping her dreams.
As an alternative she gets to “practice” along with her dolls.
Kelly said: “I lost count on what number of clothes I even have bought for them.
“I’ve spent a few thousand dollars on them — it’s very value it.
“Caring for them is reassuring.”
Kelly is now confident going out along with her dolls but says she does get negative comments online and in person.
She said: “Some people think it’s weird.
“I get some comments comparable to ‘women fiddling with reborn dolls is weird.’
“Sometimes people all of the do is stare.
“Sometime people say something like ‘that’s creepy.’
“I’m not surprised some people don’t get it.
“After I first got Jen I desired to keep her a secret.
“I wanted her to be my child.
“I’m an adoptive mom.”
