They’re taking a second shot at love.
A Texas woman who separated from her cheating husband after he admitted having an affair with a piece colleague has taken him back — and he or she swears it’s the “best decision of her life.”
Alice Lacy, 29, began dating Dominique Lacy, 33, in 2014 — the completely happy couple went on to tie the knot 4 years later.
They blended their families, living a lifetime of domestic bliss with six children within the Lone Star State.
But early last yr, Alice began suspecting her bar manager beau was having an affair.
“I knew something was off when one night he randomly said the way it was hard for a person to stick with just one woman and that ladies would never understand,” the jilted wife recalled in an interview with NeedToKnow.co.uk on Wednesday.
“I knew he was hiding an affair,” she continued. “He just kept brushing it off, saying there was nothing unsuitable and that he loved me and our family. We made love later that week and I cried myself to sleep that night. Despite him denying anything was happening, it was as if my body, mind and soul could feel the reality.”
In October 2022, Alice finally confronted Dominique and he confessed to an affair with a female co-worker.
Shockingly, Dominique described the mistress as his “soulmate” and said he had fallen in love together with her.
“After he said she was his soulmate, I asked if he was selecting her over our youngsters, and he replied, ‘Yes, I like her.’ That was the moment my heart detached from the conversation,” Alice said.
The mom was left shattered, saying she desired to “cry and lie in bed” all day.
The straying spouse moved out of the marital home to pursue a relationship along with his colleague — but two days later he sent a text to Alice saying he’d made a horrible mistake.
“I used to be so confused and needed to think things through,” Alice said of the shock text from her estranged hubby. “But then he showed up on the front door to our house.
“He showed me the message to the opposite woman with him ending their affair and got on his knees and cried — he said doing this to our marriage was the largest regret of his life.”
Despite her doubts, Alice decided to provide her hubby one other probability — despite her family’s protestations.
“They thought I used to be crazy for taking him back because they were so disgusted about this whole situation,” she explained.
“I had so many concerns about them [Dominique and the mistress] still working together,” she explained. “I used to be fearful he was lying they usually’d carry on with the affair or he wouldn’t give you the option to withstand her.
“But he continuously reassures me and has even offered for me to read through all of his texts,” Alice added. “I feel as if our relationship is more open now, we could be more honest with one another.”
Dominique not works on the bar where his met his mistress and is grateful to Alice for giving him a second probability.
Like her, he believes their relationship is now higher than ever.
“I made a terrible and horrific mistake that nearly cost me my marriage and my family,” he said .
“In my weakest moment my wife showed me strength, in my most embarrassing moment my wife showed me compassion, after I fell she helped pick me back up,” Dominique declared.
“The love, care and peace she has brought me has motivated me to be higher because I failed her, something that I won’t ever let occur again — she has given me all the things.”
