A young Australian man has given his parents the last word Christmas gift, surprising them by paying off their mortgage.

Like most Aussie families yesterday, the family gathered across the tree and dragged an assortment of chairs into the living space to pass out presents and cards because the family dog roamed among the many discarded wrapping paper.

It looked like your typical Aussie Queensland Christmas, with shorts and thongs being the unofficial uniform of the day.

The same old joy was disrupted when Oscar read his Christmas card out loud to his parents in front of the entire family.

Oscar explained that the older he gets, the more he “appreciates” all the pieces his parents have done for him.

“Thanks for all the time supporting, encouraging, and praying for me. Thanks for showing me what it looks wish to love Jesus and Pop thanks for showing us what it looks wish to love mum and what it’s to be an important father,” Oscar said.

He added that he was so “proud” to have them as his parents and said that he wants what they’ve.

“You’ll never understand the impact you’ve had on my life; us boys are so grateful for you,” he said.

Oscar’s mom Karon, touched by the message, replied: “Oh darling,” while his dad began unwrapping the current and guessed that it could be chocolates.

When he discovered it was a check for about $88,713 — enough to repay their mortgage — he assumed it was a joke.

“That’s rubbish! That may’t be true. Is that serious?” he asked.

“It’s real,” Oscar confirmed.

Oscar’s confirmation made his dad Wayne immediately well up on the unbelievable news, and the dad passed the current on to Oscar’s mom, so she could see what had him so instantaneously emotional.

His mum burst into tears when she saw what her son had given them and looked stunned and overwhelmed.

She quickly got up from her chair and hugged her son as she cried.

“That’s the most effective Christmas gift,” she said through tears.

Meanwhile, Oscar’s dad joked that he’d need to reduce to working two days per week; once everyone had calmed down from the initial shock, he said essentially the most Aussie dad thing ever.

“All right, let’s go to the beach,” he joked.

The entire family burst out laughing in response.

Oscar’s brother Hudson then took to Facebook to share the video of his parents receiving the life-changing gift.

“Oscar has all the time had an entrepreneurial streak within him, and today he got the repay the remaining of Mum and Dad’s home loan,” he wrote.

Hudson also explained that the current showed just how much his parents were admired by their kids.

“It’s an actual credit to how beautiful and generous his heart is and the way wonderful mum and pop have been to us as parents. An exquisite Christmas morning,” he shared.

The attractive story touched family and friends on Facebook, who quickly shared the excellent news.

“That is so beautiful,” someone wrote.

“Thanks for sharing such a moving experience with us,” one other praised.

“That is essentially the most beautiful and funny thing I’ve seen today. Your entire hearts are so generous that despite who was in that position, you’d all do the identical thing,” one claimed.

‘That is incredible! Your parents needs to be so pleased with the best way they raised such a tremendous group of men,” one other cheered.
