Don’t just wing it.
A Redditor has sparked fierce debate over one of the best time to get off a flight by admitting to waiting until the very last minute to disembark once a plane has landed.
“I don’t get off my seat when the plane lands,” the unidentified person wrote in a Reddit post this week. “I wait until most people have gotten off.”
When asked why, the user simply stated: “Because I’m not a moron.”
The post divided Reddit users, who expressed their preferred methods of exiting an aircraft.
“I only rise up if I’m in an [aisle seat] with other people idk on the within rows to allow them to out,” one poster replied. “Then I sit back down.”
“[Staying sitting] is the one logical thing to do really,” agreed one other. “Or else everyone just finally ends up standing on top of one another and dropping suitcases on other people’s heads.”
Others refuse to attend, with one user insisting: “I gotta be one in all the primary off.”

Reality TV star Batsheva Haart, from “My Unorthodox Life,” ignited the same discussion after posting a TikTok of herself waiting for the passengers in front of her to exit a plane in December.
“Sitting in my seat as an alternative of standing up until it’s my row’s turn to deplane,” she wrote on the video.
Her candid clip took off, with some users arguing that sometimes they need to go away the plane quickly.
“Some people have layovers which might be short and don’t have time to sit down around and wait,” a follower maintained.
“Just be able to get out when its your turn,” one other user warned. “I saw people gathering their belongings of their seat when it was their turn to get out.”
“Maturity is respecting that other people’s preferences is probably not same as yours,” laughed one other.
Airplane seats are a hot topic online. Last yr, a lady went viral for her unusual approach to returning to her seat by climbing over fellow passengers.
And a Minnesota TikToker spurred a turbulent debate on the app this month together with her claim that the aisle seat is best than the window seat.
