it is time for a large scale raid on people with illegal guns across the city. prosecute to fullest extent (including existing mandatory minimums for most illegal firearms possession charges), put them in prison for years, only way to even get consideration of lower end of mandatory minimum sentencing range is to turn over and testify against suppliers and/or multiple other buyers. it's time to stop waiting for these illegal guns to be used. their mere possession is already a crime, and a criminal with a gun does not have innocent intentions. cops need to get these guns and more importantly their owners and suppliers off the streets. the dealers need to be imprisoned for life.
