O People of the Scripture! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter aught concerning Allah save the truth. That ye ascribe unto the Beneficent a son,
[19:92]
When it is not meet for (the Majesty of) the Beneficent that He should choose a son.
[19:93]
There is none in the heavens and the earth but cometh unto the Beneficent as a slave.
[19:94]
Verily He knoweth them and numbereth them with (right) numbering.
[19:95]
And each one of them will come unto Him on the Day of Resurrection, alone.
[19:96]
Lo! those who believe and do good works, the Beneficent will appoint for them love.
[19:97]
And We make (this Scripture) easy in thy tongue, (O Muhammad) only that thou mayst bear good tidings therewith unto those who ward off (evil), and warn therewith the froward folk.

And how many a generation before them have We destroyed! Canst thou (Muhammad) see a single man of them, or hear from them the slightest sound ?

I don't get, why is a solution of the high prices so difficult. European energy companies make billions with this war, so they could cover the high transport costs and btw the people behind those companies too or do they prefer to be rich under Putin and give up minimum 25% of their assets in 1 time?

It is accepted that the restaurant can refuse service to certain guests. Why to expect from Putin to keep open his gas stores to EU and serve his clients when they sanction and harass him. No difference between the politician and the regular business owner.
This story is such a silly inversion of the truth! The Europeans and the Americans thought that they could wreck the Russian economy by not importing Russian gas, Russian oil, Russian coal, Russian fertilizer and Russian wheat and by stealing the Russians' financial reserves and cutting it out of the SWIFT mechanism. Apparently, they failed to think through the consequences of the plan not working!
They put the plan into action and they do not like the results. They now find themselves short of gas, oil, coal, fertilizer and wheat and having to buy these from Russia for rubles. The price of these commodities has gone up so much, that the Russians have earned enough foreign currency to make up for the stolen reserves, other countries have lost faith in the idea of letting Western Banks look after their foreign currency reserves, the Russian substitute for SWIFT is up and running and is gaining strength. All the while that the Europeans are accusing the Russians (Putin) of cutting off their gas, they refuse to license the big pipeline that Russia built at Germany's request (!) called Nordstream 2.
To cap it all, nearly all the trouble Europe is in, is self inflicted, the Russians have done far less than they could have done to hit back.
Really, such a mass of spin, as your account of the situation represents, is not worthy of a real news organization like WION.
