Vladimir Putin’s Russia poses the greatest current threat to NATO, says German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in a keynote speech he delivered to Germany’s armed forces – the Bundeswehr.
Scholz told German military leaders that they should accept that Russia will define itself as an adversary to the European Union, the US and Nato – for the foreseeable future.
And, he said Germany’s armed forces must become the best-equipped military force in Europe.

As a european, Im appalled. Im not saying it is not prudent and necessary, but if we all behaved, money and efforts could be spent on more logical purposes.
Maybe the security council of the United Nations could be restructured so it actually served its purpose?
Just don't wake up the giant otherwise you will not be able to control it. Germans are very very good at war strategy and they lost WWII only because of oil and basic resources. Be careful before re-arming Germans. Also, It's better for Germans to be neutral during any wars.

I don't think Germany should be anything. We all remember what they did. As for ukraine if it did not have oil and gas it would not matter, but because united states and more so child predator Biden and son interest in ukraine they have to defend they investment. Ukraine should not be getting equipment and ammunition they have been in war since 2014 but never bought equipment ammunition winter gear what a ridiculous excuse of country how corrupt must you be to not afford ammunition
It'll start off as defence but given their long history of conflict, it won't be long before the Europeans turn those strong military forces on themselves, moreso if the EU collapses. Could they be unwittingly returning to a pre-1945 era? Only time will tell
