Honestly, all this happening, and you still not willing to admit that going green was a mistake.. you still planning on closing nuclear plants next year? what will happen if there are shortages again in 2 years? when those nuclear reactors can't be restarted?

Germany will survive the crisis well because it is a very rich country. Not even a noteworthy new borrowing is currently planned. It will even accelerate the expansion of renewable energies. Russia, on the other hand, will have to find new customers for its oil and gas in the future, who will pay significantly less than rich Europe. Not good for Russia as it has a comparatively weak economy.

Europe is crippled by voluntary EU sanctions against Russia, but not by the Russian military actions themselves, for which the sanctions also have no effect. European politicians in obedience to Washington and against their public voluntary and knowingly walked into this mess.

There is Baltic Pipe Line that will supply natural gas from Norway via Denmark to Poland. The project is planned to be completed by October 2022. Poland also has one completed Gasport (Świnoujście LNG terminal). Hopefully this will ease EU's gas problem this heating season.

So instead of having Ukraine Surrender and save 10s of thousands of lives, Europe is going to risk thousands of people by red lining a nuclear power plants production capability? Sounds like a genius idea.

putting sanctions on Russia and refusing to buy their cheap gas are the causes of the problems. throwing their citizens under the bus isn't working out so well for Europe

I have no problem "suffering" high energy prices when the alternative is to see Ukrainians suffer x100. Giving in for Russia means Europe is next in Putins "liberation" and Russian empire plans. Ukraine know death is better than life as Russians. Thanks Ukrainians for suffering blood, when we only "suffer" money.

Germany will have to buy yet even more nuclear power from France to feed its shortfalls. The problem is is that France has power problems as well.
