The identities of the individuals who guaranteed Rep. George Santos’ $500,000 bond in his criminal fraud case might be revealed Thursday at noon, a federal judge ordered Tuesday.
The choice in U.S. District Court in Long Island got here lower than two weeks after Santos’ attorney argued that the bail backers’ identities must be kept private due to “media frenzy” surrounding the case.
Santos’ lawyer, Joseph Murray didn’t immediately reply to CNBC’s request for comment on the judge’s order.
