These problems have been problems since 1959!!!! Not just one year. And who gave you the Covid data, because no one one from the outside is checking those census. That Cuban vaccine doesn’t work, everyone on the island had Covid. This report is so shallow. The people are being killed slowly imprisoned, hunger, disease , misery and ignored. The Comunistas government doesn’t care. The people want out of the militarized island. Brutal repression, political prisoners! Your report wasn’t enough dear reporters!
There was a brutal crackdown!!!!! Police violence because the people are UNARMED!!!!
socialism great…yes, especially for the elites and politicians. Working people live in one kind of house…politicians have a more "up-scale" residence….funny how that works….
Freeeeeeeeedooooooom freedom
Uh-oh. I feel a pointless rant coming on. It's been awhile internet, but here it goes:
Hmm… I don't know. It's almost as if horrific sanctions and economic blockades against an isolated nation during worldwide inflation, shortages, drought, famine, disease, and violent conflicts has negative effects on the population of that nation. If only there was some kind of outlet for the investigation, confirmation, dissemination, and discussion of and on the effects of isolating a small island nation from the rest of an already struggling and divided international and interdependent global trade and communications system through an uncompromising, absolutist directive enforced by the gargantuan military of the world's only superpower, and based upon an outdated and ever-crumbling ideology for the sake of a small ruling elite of plutocrats threatened by the very existence of an opposing ideology with the strength and determination to endure those sanctions and constant jingoistic threats and accusations, while somehow having the creativity and ingenuity to develop both cutting edge advances in medicine and effective bare-bones techniques in mechanical engineering, and having the humanitarian will to share those advances with other nations and people's, especially poor and developing nations and those affected by natural disaster. Seems like something that would interest and perhaps even surprise a huge mass of people who are currently uninformed of the effects of such foreign policy as well as the historical context and actual facts among common misconceptions and sociopolitical propaganda regarding the sanctioned nation in question. As if it could be considered news to most. I believe, if memory serves, that there may have been such a medium not too long ago, when information wasn't distilled through openly biased editors, executives, tv producers, censors, Orwellian "fact" checkers, advertisers, focus groups, and self-censorship out of fear of retaliation and ostracization, but rather validated and proven through deep investigative analysis, evidence, and corroboration of sources, witness statements, opposing parties and objective experts. This medium and profession even had it's own system of ethics. But what was once journalism is now simply media. The all-consuming leviathan of infotainment, sparsed and scripted for your entertainment, and for their control of your perceptions, opinions, and beliefs. And here I am, a good, dedicated viewer, another anonymous commenter and canon fodder for the hive mind and it's other half, the near automatic knee jerk reactions of the faceless mob of infinite trolls, petty sockpuppets, and hateful, vindictive chauvinism & reactionaryism from an entire segment of my own nation sick to death and suffering from deep, festering, very personal psychological scars, purposeful socioeconomic and political division and domination, the bloodthirsty demands of an everlasting war machine, the imminent destruction of climate change, burgeoning economic and infrastructural collapse, corrupt institutions, hundreds of years of a cannibalistic, empty civilization of cheap concrete and decades of cold steel culminating in the alienation and decay of the dying future that is the modern world of fearful, angry loners, founded not too long ago on the grounds of christian conquest, genocide, the perceived merits and moral obligation of slavery, political deception & Machiavellianism, racial superiority, male superiority, wealthy Anglo-Saxon protestant authority, sociopolitical and economic hypocrisy, and of course, the destruction of the environment for the sake of industry and unfettered consumption of resources. All to the point, that now, in the 21st century, with unlimited access to vast and global online sources of informative facts and a wealth of scholarly knowledge in spite of an antiquated and broken public education system, a person can still ignore all of those expert resources that would help them understand vital issues that they have only been given misinformation, disinformation, and prejudiced opinions on by those with a vested interest in keeping them ignorant and passionately misinformed, and make the cognitively dissonant, contradictory, doublethink assessment of a short, biased, woefully unresearched and politically scripted clip of infotainment about the hardships of that famously sanctioned island nation under immense military and economically violent pressure from his own nation of which is largely responsible for both his own ever increasing hardships, as well as those of the island nation in question, that it is not the fault of crippling sanctions, the ongoing consequences of the combination of a pandemic and climate change, and an overall volatile, possibly crumbling global financial system that the island nation was already struggling to engage with (because of the aforementioned sanctions). That, in his misinformed and disinformed assessment, it's actually the fault of an opposing economic system that he knows little about, even though his own nation's economy is itself in decline, and the very social unrest and desperation of the people of the island nation he observes in this clip is far more visceral and of far greater size and consequence in his own nation if he were to simply take a moment to critically compare his life and his own nation's people to theirs without the bias that the clip reinforces in order to manufacture consent for the very sanctions and economic policies that are destroying both their lives and his own. This is the grandest achievement that I know of – the social and psychological manipulation of the masses, to the point of unquestioned belief in the obviously false, even to the point of believing a talking head for the status quo over your own lived experiences and first-hand observations. Their perception is our reality, and the medium is the message.
That's it.
Socialism come in Venezuela, Argentina, Chile and as son in Brazil with Lula… the next is EUA.
USA take over that Island 🏝️ thug life
Implement Universal Suffrage, oust the Communist dynasty and watch Cuba prosper and develop. Pretty simple.
