This controversy is taking off.
A mean girl Emirates flight attendant aroused the web’s ire — after allegedly ‘mocking’ a travel influencer who committed the sin of getting an excessive amount of fun on her recent top quality flight.
Excited to post from the luxurious airline’s top tier cabin, Thai content creator Bifern boasted to TikTok concerning the lavish amenities she found on her quick hop from Bangkok to Hong Kong — which takes just two hours.
Within the wildly viral clip, she shows herself having fun with the mini bar, multiple meals, a big bathroom complete with a shower — and an enormous amenity kit full of pajamas, slippers, toiletries and headphones.
The lofty video, where the social media star showered, napped and dined on caviar, landed a whopping 8.5 million views — including from the catty crew member, who mocked the maven for her flurry of activity through the short hop.
“The drama began because this one crew left a comment under the video on Facebook where she said, ‘All of this….2 hrs, 14 passengers,’” explained an ex-flight attendant named Veronica — who posted her own follow-up TikTok video to detail the ordeal online.
Based on Veronica, a skeptical crew member supposedly asked — in Thai — when Bifern had time to supposedly go to sleep or curl her hair, seeing because the flight was so short.
Additionally they made an extra comment about her making it seem as if she’d been on a long-haul flight, fairly than a brief one — appearing to accuse her of being misleading to her viewers.
“The tone of the general conversation was very sarcastic and form of mocking,” Veronica continued, wondering aloud why the aggravated worker selected to “leave a negative comment from a profile that has your full name … that might get you in trouble.”
But viewers got here out in droves to Bifern’s defense, saying she had every right to make use of the amenities because she shelled out money for her top quality ticket — regardless of how long the flight was.
“If I’m going to pay a top quality ticket, even when it’s just for 2 hours — you bet I’m going to make use of all of the amenities, eat all of the caviar that I can eat and get all of the freebies because I paid for that,” one person wrote on TikTok.
“If I pay, no matter how I did that, I must be getting all of the services unless I decide to have less by myself. This crew member is screaming jealousy,” scoffed one other.
“The girl is entitled to all of the amenities and services provided by the airline since she paid the FULL PRICE for the ticket PERIOD. The crews involved just needed to know their places and duty,” argued another person.
Veronica admitted she had some empathy for the possibly “overworked” crew that may should work diligently to supply all that pampering to a passenger, but made it clear that she thinks the influencer “has a right to enjoy herself” — regardless of what.
“I take into consideration this girl [who was] super enthusiastic about with the ability to buy a ticket in top quality and wanting to try all of the amenities and just film herself because why not,” she said.
“She had all the best on the earth to make use of all the things that was there to make use of — you recognize, like, it’s there for a reason.”
