At any time when you hear Joe Biden’s cheerleaders at MSNBC or CNN craving for the times of “principled” conservatives, it is best to know what they are literally pining for: the times of conservatives acting like complete suckers.

It’s a tale as old as time. Democrats change the foundations of the sport, but still expect Republicans to play by the old ones.

There are several recent examples to select from, but let’s start with the uproar over the House Committees.

In November of 2021, when Democrats were flying high with control of Congress and the White House, Pelosi and her minions voted to throw Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Paul Gosar off of their respective committees.

Very like Mitch McConnell’s warning to Harry Reid in regards to the nuclear option in 2013, then-minority leader Kevin McCarthy identified the potential repercussions of this recent precedent.

“It means under the Pelosi precedent, all of the members that I actually have mentioned earlier will need the approval of a majority to maintain those positions in the long run,” he explained. He went on to state that the brand new standard would “proceed to be applied in the long run.”

Possibly the Democrats didn’t think Republicans would ever take control of the House again and due to this fact they might never must face the results of their actions. What’s more likely though is that the Democrats assumed that Republicans would never make good on their threats. McCarthy might talk tough in front of the cameras, but eventually, he would take the high road.

Unfortunately for members of the U.S. Congress like California Reps. Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell and Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar, McCarthy and company should not letting bygones be bygones.

In spite of everything, Rep. Eric Swalwell had an intimate relationship with a Chinese spy. If that doesn’t disqualify someone from sitting on the House Everlasting Select Committee on Intelligence, then what does? As McCarthy identified, Eric Swalwell can’t get a security clearance within the private sector — “so would you want to offer him a government clearance?”

On MSNBC, Swalwell complained that the choice to kick him off the committee was “purely vengeance.” Someone should inform Christine Fang’s BFF that there are many justifiable reasons to offer him the boot from the House Intelligence Committee. Political vengeance is just an added bonus.

When it got here to “getting Trump,” the Left at all times behaved just like the ends justified the means. But now pearl-clutching is back in vogue.

Take the most recent scandal surrounding Representative George Santos, a recently-elected Republican from Recent York’s third congressional district.

We now know the congressman is a whole liar.

Naturally, Democrats wasted no time getting on their soap boxes about this issue.

Last week they introduced the Santos Act, a bill aimed toward stopping candidates from lying about their backgrounds. Based on Fox News, under said bill, “any candidate who lies about their background could face a yr in jail or a $100,000 superb.”

Along with this brave recent piece of laws, Democrats like California Congressman Ted Lieu and Texas Congressman Joaquin Castro, have called for Santos to resign.

Now I don’t like the thought of a Republican con man sitting in Congress. Resume padding about having the ability to use Excel is one thing, but making up your entire educational background and profession history? That’s a distinct story.

Due to this fact, I feel the Right should offer to make a cope with the Democrats.

Republicans should suggest having one liar step down for one more.

If Santos’ lies hassle his progressive colleagues a lot, then he could resign in exchange for one more member of Congress. How about Senator Elizabeth Warren? If the lady who pretended to be Native American is just not willing to participate within the deal, how in regards to the man who lied about his military service— Sen. Dick Blumenthal?

Unless the Dems conform to a compromise, Santos should stay put.

As for the classified documents that were found at President Joe Biden’s old University of Pennsylvania think tank, or those that were present in his Wilmington garage next to his Corvette, or those that were present in his private library, or those—well, wherever else they find the subsequent batch…I don’t think conservatives should overreact.

As an alternative, they need to match the identical level of concern that the Left unleashed when the FBI raided Mar-a-lago and located top-secret documents in the previous President’s secret-service protected residence.

Conservatives in D.C. often fall victim to wanting fleeting approval from the Left. The simplest way for right-wing pols to get that strange recent respect from parrots on the fake news networks and propaganda artists from The Recent York Times is to prove that they’re willing to be perennial patsies for the opposition.

When members of the mainstream media drone on about how they miss “civility” within the GOP, what they really miss is the loser mentality that has pervaded the party for much too long.

It’s time to play hardball. What’s good for the elephant is sweet for the donkey.
