Danica Patrick said essentially the most painful thing she’s ever experienced was her breakup with Aaron Rodgers in 2020.
During an appearance on “The Sage Steele Show,” the previous NASCAR driver said their “emotionally abusive” relationship “wore me right down to nothing.”
“The breakup with Aaron in 2020, since it was sudden,” Patrick said when asked about her most painful experience. “It felt prefer it was my life. So while you live with any individual, it’s your whole life… And since the character of the connection was emotionally abusive, in order that wore me right down to nothing.
“Someone that you already know, people could never imagine that I’d lack any confidence, or belief in the easy things about who I’m. All the things was torn to bits. He leaves a trail of blood. I don’t think I’m saying an excessive amount of earth-shattering stuff after we — there’s been enough on the market.
“Nevertheless it gave me the best gift, which is myself. It gave me the best gift of how much I needed to point out up for myself and maintain myself.”
Rodgers and Patrick called it quits in July 2020 after dating for 2 years.
Patrick, who said she has no shame or regret, explained that she was lonely during their relationship because “I used to be furthest from myself.”
The previous Jets quarterback, who said he’s specializing in his personal life as he contemplates his playing future, went on to this point actress Shailene Woodley, whom he met sometime throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
They announced their engagement in February 2021, with the 2 reportedly calling it quits in April 2022.
Rodgers, who revealed last December that he’s in a relationship with a girl named Brittani, was recently spotted wearing what seemed to be a marriage band on his left ring finger.
