Cooper senior-to-be Jaxon Howard made his college choice public Friday in a ceremony in Cooper’s auditorium. Howard announced he’ll attend Louisiana State University. He picked LSU over his other finalists Miami, Michigan, and Minnesota. Howard is a four-star recruit and had offers from most of the nation’s best teams. He is considered Minnesota’s top recruit in the class of 2023. Howard plays tight end and defensive end at Cooper and will be a defensive lineman for LSU.
