PSA.. Racism is a brainwashed ideology for weak minded people. This is the real history: The 2nd generation of "racists" whites that hated blacks after the Civil war were basically brainwashed by their parents. Before 1863, blacks were mainly servants in the south. They took care of everything for whites from their land to their children and have always been a huge asset to whites in the south. There was always white Supremacy in those days, meaning some whites thought they were better than others, but the national sentiments of "hatred" didn't start until Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation. Black men were then able to join the Union army & helped turn the tide of the war in which the north was actually loosing at that point. Confederate generals like Nathan Bedford Forrest would not take black prisoners alive & killed all who surrendered.. He despised the fact that blacks played a major part in the fall of the south. After loosing the war, Forrest created the KKK out of fear of black exertion & power. He along with his followers then brainwashed the next generation of children to believe that blacks were their enemy. It wasn't even a real hatred or act that started this all. See, when you teach a child to hate, it doesn't matter the reason, true or false. It is now apart of their belief system that will be passed down through the generations, as it has been. Racism was a huge lie from the beginning. Blacks never did a thing to whites except stand up against slavery. Just like we're being lied to today by the same type of people, it just continues on. 💯
