Scottish Power claim they have ninety five percent reneweable electicity generation. That means the customer is paying for the installation of that system and the shareholders are profiting by that. I wonder how much coal and gas generated energy they really do buy from abroad. Soon find out when that is withheld because those countries will need that energy themselves. A Dark Scotland soon.

Get 2 or 3 extra 3 seater couches; rent them out to overnighters (they get the couch from 10pm to 6am, then they are OFF the couch, sit in chair, go to work, come home, dinner, sit in chair, then 10pm the couch is theirs again) no smoking, drinking, noise, visitors, or pets or obnoxious behaviour. BE QUIET and the O.N.ers have a place to sleep for 8 hrs, eat, chill. Price is HALF that of an apartment PER couch. that way u can pay your heat bill. thats what i wd do.
