BREAKING: Security guard stabbed at Manhattan bank
A security officer at a bank on Manhattan’s Upper East Side was stabbed in the neck Friday morning, said police. The officer was in critical condition.
The shocking incident occurred at about 9 a.m. at the Chase Bank at 244 East 86th Street.

What's up with all this stabbing lately in NYC?
I also blame the banks that know that there's so much crime going on and they prefer to have someone that is unarmed to save money. The banks don't care about unarmed security they just care that they got someone standing there. The bank does not care if that security guard dies on the job they not going to pay the funeral cause they're not going to look out for his family they don't care or the agency that the security guard works for won't care either. Criminals know who they going to pick on and when they see that you don't have nothing to defend yourself you pretty much a easy target.

NY passes a bunch of gun laws to decrease ‘gun violence’, and people are now getting attacked with knives. Now they need to pass a bunch of knife laws, and the criminals will start using crow bars as weapons.
The cycle of Gun-control violence is painfully obvious and banning weapons or potential weapons does nothing to decrease violent crime.

See, Chase doesn't want the liability of a security guard using deadly force against bank robbers etc. But, Chase is willing to put the life of security guards at risk and eat the cost when one of them gets hurt or killed. SMH…an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. It is too risky and irresponsible to put someone unarmed in place holding millions of dollars that is highly susceptible to being robbed.
All security guards should get guns they can check in and out during their shift .. it’s the only way to protect these businesses.. because what’s going to happen is no one going to want to be a police officer or a security guard anymore.
