I'd like to make two points.
1st: Ty, THANK you for being totally unbiased! When I watched your video about Emmitt Till, you called for the arrest and prosecution of Carolyn Bryant Dunham because her claims had resulted in Till's murder. Now you call for this woman to be arrested and charged because HER claims resulted in this death. I can't ask anymore of anyone that they treat both sides of the coin equally. You have my respect.
2nd: What do you expect in NYC? I remember an incident several years ago in NYC when a man left work and was passing an alley when he heard a woman cry for help. He went into the alley to investigate and found a punk attempting to rape a woman. He pulled him off her and shoved him back. The punk then attacked the man, who hit him with his fist and knocked him to the ground. The punk hit his head on something solid which resulted in his death. The police actually arrested this "Good Samaritan" and charged him with murder! Although he was acquitted in court, it cost him who knows how much money for his legal defense not to mention the anxiety he must have felt through the process. After his acquittal, a reporter asked him if he would do the same thing again. He replied, "I would just keep walking." Can you blame him? You could not pay me enough to live in NYC!!!!

As you can see, gun control isn’t about guns. There were no guns in this incident. What the powers that be really, truly, wish to do, is criminalize all self defense by law-abiding citizens, while letting career criminals run amok to keep citizens fearful and vulnerable and easily manipulated.

You're not over the top, actually the majority of the people agree with that you're saying. I would also rather defend myself and worry about the consequences later than permanently losing my life. The wife was also an instigator and definitely provoked her husband into assaulting the shop owner. She has so much to be blamed for, more so than anyone else.

I hope everyone tread lightly on jumping on board saying this is self defense… because if this case gets dismissed then everyone will have a right to end your life if you are fighting with your hands or if they claim they feared for their life…. So in turn think about it someone pushed your daughter and your daughter started to fight that same person and is doing a good job beating her up that same person can turn around and take a weapon and end her life and call it defense. This is a dangerous law if we have it. Also the store owner snatched the chips from her daughter’s hand and called them low life bitches in front of mom and daughter … the daughter was 8 that’s why the father was upset
