I think it’s sad that there are so many boats in that area…..we are like cockroaches. No animal (land/sea/air) are safe from humans.

As beautiful as whales are, I think I’d never want to go back out on the water after experiencing that! Thankfully, the whale didn’t sink the boat! Was there any damage caused to the boat?

I’m sure the whale is injured. Now I must go look up the definition of breaching…

Hope the Environmental Police are analyzing the photos and videos to identify all the boats that are much closer than they are legally allowed to be. The whale may have been gravely injured. We see this happening more and more, where private boats are crowding the whales. Luckily no one was hurt this time, but someone easily could have been killed. The protected radius needs to be increased and the fines made very steep.

People are selfish , they just had to get right up in it. No respect for our planet or nature. Just use and exploit without any regards for the damage we cause.
I could care less about those idiots in the boat, the whale is my concern.

  20. T C says:

Someone standing near the stern of the boat would have been launched into the air. I'm expecting a photoshopped video to appear soon.

    0:14 What about the whale??

If those boats are trolling, then imagine trying to get through as a whale? It’s 100 hooks, and invisible line in every direction.

The boaters all likely have sonor: cue the entitled right wing maniacs – so stay away for god’s sake.

In BC Canada, it’s illegal to follow or view Orca at close range.

How disturbing that these motor boats were abusively cornering this beautiful whale, just to make a possible viral video! It is no wonder that the large whale, which respectfully needed much more space to be protected, reacted that way! 🐋
