Author Salman Rushdie was stabbed Friday by a man who stormed the stage as he was beginning a lecture in New York. Rushdie, whose work has previously led to threats, underwent surgery for his injuries. Nikki Battiste reports.

And, Muslims say, Islam is a religion of peace. If someone wrote a derogatory book about Jesus, Moses, Budah, Shinto, or other thousand faiths on this earth, no one would have raised an eyebrow, but not the Muslim faith, they have to use force and violence to prove their point. There is so much hate, anger, and absolute one-way thinking in the Muslim faith, I know better because was raised in that culture. There is no freedom of speech or freedom of expression in Islam or in any of the Muslim Countries, all follow the foundation of Islam in Quraan. Attacking this great writer Mr. Salman Rushdie is wrong, they can not silence the truth.
A lot of this type of behaviour is enshrined in the religion but no one wants to talk about it, Muhammad ordered the assassination of his critics, I cover this in my book and videos, Muslims living in the West deny this but those in the East validate it, hence the 'Fatwa' issued 30 years ago.

the funny thing is, aside from the title "satanic verses" it has little to nothing to do with islam in his book. but hey as a good muslim you need to hate him anyway because they make the connection of verses that satan put in the prophets ear, which proves that your beloved prophet could not tell the difference between satan and god.
