The president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, spoke with a group of Australian university students through a video link during the night, and received one of the most difficult questions that he has ever faced. Anu’s chancellor Julie Bishop, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, said a QUT student had asked Zelenskyy if Russia and Ukraine could be again in good terms. “She thought about it for a long time, and then she said sadly that she couldn’t see a situation in which Russia and Ukraine could be friends again because every family in Ukraine had lost something,” Bishop said. “Everyone had suffered and it would be very difficult to forgive. Now, the world is concerned that there is no final game, that we cannot see a cessation of negotiated fire and much less a peace agreement.
