Taylor Fritz is looking every bit a US Open contender this summer.
The American had a terrific grass-court season with two titles and a visit to the semifinals at Wimbledon, and he’s now one in every of the favorites to win the 2025 Canadian Masters in Toronto.
Fritz is -275 to beat Jiri Lehecka, who has endured an inconsistent season after starting the 12 months off with a title in Brisbane.
ATP Toronto: Fritz vs. Lehecka odds, predictions
Lehecka looked like he was on his strategy to cracking the highest 20 within the early stages of 2025. The native of Czechia won a title in Brisbane out of the gates this season, after which followed that up with a visit to the Round of 16 on the Australian Open.
Just a few weeks later, Lehecka defeated Carlos Alcaraz within the quarterfinals of ATP Doha, officially putting the tennis world on notice.
Unfortunately, Lehecka’s performance for the subsequent chunk of the season was middling, but he did seem to seek out his game over the summer.

Lehecka finished runner-up to Alcaraz at ATP London, beating Jack Draper within the semifinals and Alex de Minaur within the Round of 32.
The 23-year-old was disappointing at Wimbledon, after which was ousted by de Minaur within the Round of 16 at ATP Washington, but overall, things are pointing in the best direction. Only more so after a few gritty wins on the Canadian Masters.
Fritz was at all times going to be vulnerable to an upset in Washington due to fatigue, and the best way he lost to Alejandro Davidovich Fokina was a shock, but he’s yet to essentially put a foot fallacious in Canada.
He must be fresh and at his best on Sunday night, but Lehecka is playing at a level to offer a stiff test for the American.
This must be a high-quality match, putting the Over 23.5 games on our radar for a play.
The Play: Over 23.5 Games (bet365)
