Gilbert Arenas told Dan Patrick that his son Alijah was “doing thoroughly” following the scary automotive accident that put the previous NBA All-Star’s son in a medically induced coma at the top of April.

Alijah was involved within the automotive crash in within the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles after he lost control of the Tesla Cybertruck he was driving before the vehicle careened into a hearth hydrant before colliding with a tree two weeks ago.

Despite being put right into a medically induced coma, Arenas said during “The Dan Patrick Show” interview that his son had no major injuries.

Arenas praised the group of excellent Samaritans who helped get Alijah out of the automotive after the accident, calling them “angels.”

“My thing was ensuring there have been no broken limbs, there have been no burns,” he said. “Lucky for him, trapped inside a automotive for therefore long, it’s lucky there have been bystanders that heard the crash that early within the morning that got him out.

“He was slightly stronger than they thought. He was waking up going crazy, in order that they put him in an induced coma simply to get the air. … They were getting the smoke and all of that out of his [lungs]. I assume he was within the automotive, it looked like about 10, 12 minutes. … Just inhaling that.”

The ex-NBAer also indicated that his son’s humorousness is undamaged, making jokes about being within the UCLA hospital.

Alijah is committed to playing college basketball at USC.

“He wrote, ‘tell [USC head coach Eric Musselman] I’m sorry I’m at UCLA,’” Arenas said. “I’m like not straight away. Not straight away. … Not with the jokes straight away. We’re still slightly scared.

Alijah was in a position to leave the hospital last week and is claimed to be on course for a full recovery.
