The Ball family has at all times had a nose for business off the hardwood, and the center child of the basketball crew is now turning his eyes toward the music industry.

LiAngelo Ball, 26, has signed a cope with Def Jam and the Universal Music Group, ESPN reported.

Ball’s label, Born2Ball Music Group, had gone viral for his Jan. 4 song release, “Tweaker,” which has nearly eight million views on YouTube.

The deal for Ball is value as much as $13 million, with a guarantee of $8 million.

Ball will retain full ownership and control of his music and record label, the report adds.

On YouTube alone, Ball’s video is value as much as $26,000 in revenue within the nine days that the video has existed.

The Ball brothers, LaMelo, Lonzo and LiAngelo, have had some previous experience within the music industry.

The No. 2 overall pick within the 2017 NBA Draft by the Lakers, Lonzo released the song “Z02” in 2019, a song that received some attention, although not the acclaim that his brother’s has in a short while.

Lonzo’s song has 412,000 views on YouTube after 4 years of being in production.

LiAngelo was not a highly graded recruit in highschool like his brothers, each of whom were chosen top three of their respective drafts.

The center brother went undrafted in 2018 and was given possibilities by the Pistons, Hornets and Lakers but did not make an everyday season roster.

While playing basketball overseas in Lithuania, he went viral for his willingness to fireside shots from beyond the arch, scoring 72 points in a game.

In his G-League debut, Ball scored 22 points and played sparingly within the Summer League.

The signing of this music deal could spell the top of his basketball profession and not using a single NBA minute.
