The royal family is worried that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will once more “betray” them for financial gain, in line with the late Princess Diana’s former butler.
Paul Burrell, who worked for Diana for over 10 years until her sudden death in 1997, said the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will little question exploit their family drama for money in the event that they’re let back into the royal fold.
“I believe there may be a really bad feeling within the royal family about Harry and Meghan that in the event that they allow them to back into the royal fold they will likely be betrayed again,” he said.
“They see it as airing dirty laundry in public and telling tales in public once they know all too well that they shouldn’t try this.”
“They see it as Harry now earning money off the back of being royal which is flawed of their books,” Burrell continued.
“They’ve thrown other family members under the bus which is well documented now and you’ll be able to’t return: once you might have done it you’re out and I believe Harry has to grasp that.”
“It’s a cruel world but they should be like that to survive and to not let one in all their very own prejudice the privileged world they live in,” he added.
Burrell also claimed that the exiled royal knew the risks he was taking by speaking out in regards to the Firm, and subsequently breaking the royal family’s “Never Complain, Never Explain” motto.
“He knew what the rating was when he was putting pen to paper, he knew what he was doing and what the results could be,” he shared.
“He knew that his mother suffered the identical consequences, he knew that when she wrote her book it had dire consequences.”
“Everybody makes mistakes but that was an enormous mistake,” Burrell continued. “Coming back to England, I ponder if he has thought how unpopular they’re of their country and that may bring its own problems.”
What’s more, Burrell said that the duke is “missing” his home soil, but won’t be welcomed back with open arms after he and Meghan “burned their bridges with the country and family.”
“I’m sure that Harry misses some elements of his life because his life in California should be quite vacuous at times whereas here it’s crammed with family and friends, his culture, and things he likes to do and I believe he must miss a few of that,” Burrell said on behalf of Slingo.
“They now have a family and will probably want to revisit a few of Harry’s past. I’ve at all times thought it’s sad that they’re missing out on Harry’s heritage they usually may now be considering it’s time to see something of the culture in England.”
“They won’t move here permanently and I’m undecided Harry and Meghan will likely be welcomed into social circles because in spite of everything he has turned his back on this country,” he added.
“I believe in the intervening time they’ve burned their bridges not only to their country but to their family.”
