I think 70 is a fair age for these politicians to hang it up. But better than that we need term limits for all politicians and Supreme Court justices.

Term and age limits are a good idea. Joe Cunningham was a horrible representative for my district. He will be a poor choice for governor. He would have gone right along with the covid lock downs Washington tried to mandate upon us. McMaster was bad enough on this regard. I could not imagine Cunningham in charge during the same situation.

I'm 75 years old and agree with completely. Too many of these men are out of touch with reality. They need others to handle 21st century technology. They are trying to govern as was the case 100 years ago. The idea of isolation didn't work then and it certainly won't work now. The economic policies of the republican party are similar to those employed in the 1870's. I totally disagree. Learning how government works takes a long time to be effective and really get things done. Everyone has ideas and opinions but the current crop of civil servant wannabes can’t spell, don’t know history, and believe they’re qualified because they own a restaurant or have been a newscaster. Maybe changes need to be made but this needs more thought about the positives that are brought by people who can hit the ground running.
