WELLINGTON (Reuters) – Two Recent Zealanders detained in Iran for the previous couple of months have recently been allowed to depart the country, Recent Zealand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade said on Wednesday.
Recent Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern had earlier on Tuesday said in a video broadcast continue to exist Facebook that the Recent Zealand government had for the previous couple of months been working very hard to permit them to depart Iran.
“It’s fair to say there’s been an incredibly difficult situation over the previous couple of months,” Ardern said.
Each Ardern and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade wouldn’t release any details on the detained couple or where they’d been held.

A press release released alongside the update said Recent Zealand continues to call for restraint by authorities in responding to the demonstrations, and for greater protection of girls’s rights and freedom of expression.
