Snoop Dogg reflects on his career, life, goals, music and politics at 50 years old, sitting in his Inglewood studios with MSNBC anchor Ari Melber for this extensive interview. Snoop discusses his new creative ventures with Def Jam, which grew out of his discussions with Lucian Grainge; advising newer artists like Benny the Butcher; recent music projects including “The Algorithm” and collaborating with Ice Cube, E40 and Too $hort in Mount Westmore; and his reflections on his history and relationships, including Snoop’s live reactions to classic videos from the archive dating back to the early 1990s. Snoop and Melber also discuss Tupac’s legacy and politics, as Snoop recounts Pac’s incisive, sometimes prophetic social critiques that apply today, and notes his revolutionary upbringing — facing a “system that’s designed to bring the Black man down because… he was a Black Panther.” On today’s politics, Snoop says Donald Trump reflects America and its problems, while criticizing Biden as dishonest. Snoop also pairs some of his favorite songs for the right life moments, and jokes about netting 17 Grammy nominations without ever winning the coveted music award, saying “I really want one now, so I can make it an ashtray for taking so long.” This in-depth discussion is the newest installment of “Mavericks with Ari Melber,” a series of interviews with artists, musicians and cultural icons. Thanks to Snoop for having The Beat at the compound!
Great job Ari I learned more about Snoop Dog
Well done, Ari AND SNOOP. This was fun coming from you two.
U sold out snoop
Never heard of this guy. He's different all right.
Slop Dawg is WEAK. He sure was buddying up to Trump before was the President.. now..HE FALLS IN LINE WITH THE LEFT AND THE OLE WHITEY MENTALITY.. how convenient for him to get his name out there based on word association..
Dang Snoop- really?! America- the orange menace(a POS who made fun of handicapped ppl, who criminalized anyone with brown skin who has always treated blacks with distaste & been sued many times for racial profiling when they tried renting apt! I just don't get how you think hes a wonderful person. U speak with such love & caring for others, doing positive yet u think this POS is America! …Pres.Biden- liar– WoW he's the liar. .. Man I still love ya but WHYYYYYYYYYYY?
Disgusting to call any of this garbage music. The old 67 year old making comments about loving this stuff not music, should be somewhere praising God before dying.
I have always loved Snoop Dogg. He is amazing and his music is great! I’m 73 and I don’t think there are a lot of people around my age who feel the same!! But I may be wrong because the comments I have read are very positive!
This was a great interview….
120 years of music
I'm still puzzling why he said, I gotta live with that for the rest of my life; regarding the murder case. That sounds like a person who have committed that act but I could be wrong.
Greetings: Snoop Dogg

OG. Cutes M7C Checking a Fan
Snoop is right about Tupac his music is still relevant to today and he was killed because he took a stand these so called rappers now could they do what Pac did NO.
Snoop did a takeover. Everywhere , on TV like Billy Dee Williams
Love this interview love snoop dog 🐕 ❤️ 🙌
Tupac at 23:00
I had to come back and edit this comment. Tupac Shakur was something much greater than a "rapper". I knew it even as a young Appalachian white kid from the holler. To have seen his words and presence persist and become even more relevant over the years is something I don't always give the proper reverence. Long love the spirit and passion of 2Pac! 🤘🙏
I see TWO GOATS on my television screen. I never knew another white kid that loved hip-hop like I love hip-hop. Thank you, Ari, for using your platform to give me honest news and some of the best interviews of the artists I love. Oh, and those lyric snapbacks kinda make my day. 🤘 SNOOP IS KING 🤘
Awesome interview, well done!
God Be the Glory.
Best interviewer and best performer 100%
DEAR SNOOP, ONE DAY YOU WILL BE ABLE TO HEAR ME! YOU WILL BE SURPRISED! MY NEUROPLASTICITY IS INCREDIBLE! WILLIAM D. BURTON
Now I even have more RESPECT for this man!
I love you snoop, and the way it sounds with the little whistle in ur words,
27.42 "… because when people fear you, they're going to do something to you." This line describes the modus operandi of the average law enforcement officer.
2pac is the goat
maan he can flow..doesn't miss a trip..impressed
A rockstar is someone who’s awake and walks that path.away from temptations. The truth is now reveled
Simply put, Thank YOU! Snoop, for being you.
Look at race this way, we're all green, some are light green some are dark green, but we're all a shade of green.
Don't believe the hype. They're all on the same side working to trick the masses. These celebrities and stars are just vehicles to display a certain behavior to us.
Snoop doggy dog is quintessentially an icon in tap music, a rhyming artist of unequal skills in the music industry
“Tupac made music for everyone” as a Ginger Scotsman I can fully relate to that, absolutely love Tupac and listening to Snoop talk is music to the soul.
I'm watching the whole thing,snoop lion is a low-key comedian 😆 🤣
The wise words from snoop lion are immaculate, they are like diamonds 💎 👏
😄 🤣 😂 😆 😄 🤣 😂 😆 😄 🤣 😂 😆 😄 🤣 😂 😆 😄 🤣 😂 😆 😄 🤣 😂 😆 😄 who else was laughing 😃 😀 so hard and then had to think about some of those wise words deeply?
Snoop is an American icon and a world treasure.
@100:30 “Uh, some white people are afraid of black people”… Uh, Ari, some white people can read and understand statistics, as well as recognize patterns, no matter how desperately the left wing media and wokety wokesters try to hide the facts in order to push their leftist (filthy commie) propaganda.
This needs to happen, people like Snoop Dogg, Mariah Carey etc… Need to be music producers and song writers for the new generation cause music now isn't good like the 90s music.
I don’t like him.
I luv your culture Snoop💙
Snoop is California
